I haven't seen D-B, so I can't speak for them with anything other than what I've heard. And with Swafford and Foreman, I've heard they're extremely athletic.

And honestly, I think they can out-athlete Maryville. But Maryville has really never had any jaw-dropping athletes. The difference between GQ's teams and other sometimes more talented teams is that GQ gets every square inch out of every player on roster.

The biggest thing I've taken away from watching Maryville is how they rarely, rarely make mistakes.

Honestly think it will be a game that goes down to the wire.

Between Quarles and Rankin, Blount County is blessed with extremely gifted HS football coaches.

Why would you have to go to Siegel? Just stay and cover the Alcoa game at home!

Somebody has to go, and I'm afraid I would get the short straw. But between Alcoa, Maryville and Greenback, I could be extremely busy in Cookeville. All have more than legit shots at making it to their respective title games.

I think Carl Stewart and Aaron Douglas were athletic specimens.

hows the special teams gonna match up-DB's returners are dangerous-ask farragut!!

How will Maryville special teams match up with D-B? Or the other way around?

A D-B fan would have to answer the latter. But I assume either Swafford or Foreman (or both) handle kicks and punts. Correct me if I'm wrong, D-B fans.

And the 'ask Farragut' part of the question applies to both teams, I guess.

Prevo, after dropping the kickoff, took one back 95 yards to break Farragut's back about a month or so ago.

Yeah, they've definitely had great athletes. I was just speaking in general. They've played a lot of teams with guys that stand out a lot more, or are talked about a lot more, but GQ's teams have obviously won those games in the past because of the brand of football they play.

Well coached, well executed game plans. And very, very few mistakes.

That's not saying anything about what will or won't happen tomorrow. Just what I've noticed about the Maryville football program looking from the outside in.

DB had to huge punt returns against the admirals-1 for a td et another to the 15-foreman is dangerous

hope alcoa whups cak-think cak will sling it around more than the first game-will alcoa go for 2 early again?

If I were Alcoa, I would. Between Wall, Tyson, Koko, Crenshaw, Love and Anthony, they're built for the 2-point conversion — not to mention how their o-line can move the line of scrimmage.

Bottom line, though, is both coaches and both teams will have tricks up their sleeves and changes to the game plans from the first game. That's what makes the rematch so interesting.
