We also had quite a few people come from out of state, so they would've probably came regardless.

No matter where they held it, we would've had quite a few people there.

We're 30 miles from Cookeville, 40 from Murfreesboro and 50 from Nashville. It's not like either one would have been too far to drive.

The only team I've seen that travels as well as we do is Smith County.

We fill up the visitor bleachers every where we go and then some.

No matter where is was at, we would've had the same amount of people +/- 50.

this game was by far the best game in the state championships . the biggest crowd at any game and the most contested score. every other game ended up being a blowout.

I agree this was one of the best games of the weekend but you must not have watched Maryville Whitehaven game.

That was a very sloppy game till the 4th quarter in my opinion, Whitehaven while very talented was getting penalties one after another and Maryville was as well... didn't think Maryville played well but that could be due to Whitehaven's talent... The 2 point conversion to win it was so wide open he could of walked in... But anyways Tpay it was nice to meet you and once again congrats to our Gordonsville Tigers

    • It’s a small town and they are in the same school system. People talk and can pull up records on their personal devices.
    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
