Top 10 teams in Chattanooga Area for 2013 Season

Arts and Sciences already has wins over Baylor and East Hamilton, going by who teams have beaten so far they'd have to be top 5. I'd put Soddy-Daisy, Chattanooga Central, GPS in it too, not sure yet who would round out a top 5.

Liana Rodrigues is really twirling it right now...shut out Baylor and came in and struck out 8 in a row with a tied game yesterday. When she is on...she is as tough as there is. I agree, Indian...they (CSAS) have some good ball players and another very capable senior pitcher.

Baylor has played very well other than CSAS...I think they are still top 5 and will beat GPS again this year for their state grouping.

I would probably have at this time, not in particular order, Baylor, Walker Valley, Marion, Ooltewah, Rhea County, Meigs to fill out a top 10.

It's hard to pick a top 5 much less a top ten right now. Walker Valley run ruled Ooltewah 11-0 & Bradley beat Rhea County 9-5. Wow!

Still not a lot of clarity as any team looks beatable on a given day...Have not seen any Walker Valley scores as of late so I would still see Baylor, Soddy, WV, CSAS and Bledsoe as a no particular order top 5 right now. GPS looks like they have a decent shot now as Baylor does not have a dominant pitcher so that should be an interesting series...Soddy and WV look like the best AAA teams, Bledsoe and maybe Central in AA with East Ham and Meigs in the background and then CSAS in A...Grace does not appear to have found itself yet and there does not seem to be any other local contenders in A.

Alphabetical "top 9", would say Arts and Sciences, Baylor, Bledsoe, Central, GPS, Marion, Meigs, Soddy-Daisy, Walker Valley. I couldn't think of another that's been consistent enough to be in a top 10. Maybe Rhea or Ooltewah. Baylor seems to be getting it together.

Ooltewah has been getting hammered from what I can tell. Meigs was soundly beaten by East Ham in the first elimination game as well as getting beat up by Grace in pool play.

The only team from Tennessee ranked in the preseaon top 50 was Soddy at number 37.

They are not anywhere near the top 50 now. They have lost more than they have won in the last 2 weeks. Baylor, Walker Valley and GPS are the best teams in the Chattanooga area no doubt.

Sometimes a team might just have one pitcher which makes tournament games deceiving. I didn't see the games so I'm not sure if that happened with Meigs but I'd seen they had good results up until then. I've not seen them yet, one game was rained out and they didn't get to participate in their own tournament at the start of the season because the way the number of teams fell.

Ooltewah is much better than they are playing. Still finding the way. Was 4-1 in the always tough Bob Jones tourney in Huntsville this past weekend ending up 5th of 44 teams. Just inconsistent at times. Should pull it together as April rolls on. Would not count them out in District 5AAA tournament. WV is the clear cut favorite. After that can be 2 or 3 teams fighting it out.
