Ya know VW is exciting player but from what I heard last year was there is a lot of "I" and not a lot of team from him

What was indicative of that conclusion? Sounds like petty jealousy. I saw him play twice last year and I saw nothing like that on the field and in one game but for him, Indy would have lost.

I saw evidence all over the field and sideline when I saw Indy play last year. I saw him get knocked flat and his team mates walked right by him, lying on the ground, and the opposing team helped him up. Loner on the sideline, no one really congratulating him on big plays, etc.

Interesting stuff BackinTn and Casual. Too bad if that is the case. If Indy cant play as a team, they wont be successful but watching them at Vandy 7 on 7, they seemed in synch. Im ready for some fall ball.

The above 2 mentioned is what I also have heard about last year, the kid is a Devon Hester as when he gets a kick or punt to him you expect him to take it to the house - I suspect coach blade will install TEAM in his players.

Quiet talk in Indy camp is that this team will do very well- my rake is they will score but also give alot of Pts up via rush defense

Summit will go as far as #4 Hunter will take them. They may have good size but the jump is too much from 3&4a to 6a.

(FHS) may have the best QB and WR #4 Tony is good. TE is back and so is RB Black

(DCHS) will try to run the ball. Stop that and you will win.

(RHS) Can throw the ball also QB and WR's look good

(CHS) Has good skill guys. WR's combo could be the best. Is #2 playing QB or RB?he's good also

[FHS] Has #23 come back healthy from last year? I believe the proper word is "eligible" rather than "back" when it comes to TE.

[DCHS] Then not to much has changed...

[RHS] My personal dark horse

[CHS] Didn't they have another transfer quarterback?

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
