What happened to Marion County ?

Seems to me when you go from first to worst with all the talent they have the administration needs to make a change and get a real coach that can utilize the talent and get the most from the kids.

Marion has lost a lot of talented players over the past 2 or 3 years. Don't be so quick to blame the coaches, you might want to take off the rose-colored glasses and reevaluate your daughter's skills.

Personally think Marion coach is one of the best around. So what you have an off year. It's high school ball and it happens. Go get some off season lessons

Marion has lost some talented players the last 3-4 yrs but they have gained some too. So the big question is what did they do other than beat up on their weaker 6a opponents?

Sale.creek and whitwell are playing good ball. Maybe it is more about what theyre doing well and less about marion playing poorly or going backward.

Loaded with talent? Let's be realistic now. There's not a program in the Chattanooga area loaded with talent. Its high school ball, not travel ball. I appreciate your school pride, but at best, they have 2 select players.

Lets get the facts straight first of all... Marion went undefeated in the district during regular season play and played a very tough non conference/ tournament schedule... They beat some good teams such as: Grace, Sequatchie Co. (2x), Meigs, East Hamilton, Chattanooga Central, Sale Creek (2x), and Whitwell (2x)... They just went into a slump at the worst possible time. In years past they had hitters from top to bottom who could pick up the slack. This year they were more speed oriented. You have to have table setters and when they get on, your big guns have to get them home. They are very young with 2 seniors (Morrison-Carson Newman and Baxter-ETSU) 1 junior, and 14 freshmen and sophomores. So don't be to hasty and start calling for the coaches head, as 3rdbasecoach said most of these girls have never played real "A" select ball. The future is bright for these girls and they will develop over the next 2-3 years and should compete at the highest level of single A softball...

Can you say disgruntled parent with only three posts. Most of those girls were freshman and sophomores.
