Always a reason to talk about the next game. This is definitely going to be a learning experience for SC. Can't look at the scoreboard at the end if the game and judge how well you did. Work on the small things and get better. Blackman will win big. 2s and 3s get playing time. Although SC is farther along than anyone expected.

SC vs. Summit the next week should be more of a "fair fight." (even though Summit has been open three years and is in it's 2nd season of varsity ball if I heard right).  SC proved it could play a good half on the road vs. an established program with 27 second half points at Tullahoma.  Then they were ahead at home for three quarters vs. Gallatin.  The Summit game is their chance to prove they can play a complete game and finish it for a win.

The winner of the BHS - OHS game will not only be district champs, it might give them a leg up on chasing the gold ball.  As soon as BHS gets up 35 this week, they need to pull the starters just like they did at Mt. J.  Why risk injury to starters?  They might not even want to leave key backups in all that long.

Go ahead and get Stewarts Creek now and enjoy. In 2 or at most 3 years time, Coach Martin will have this team contending for not only district, but state as well . This program is well ahead of anyone's expectations at this point. Coach Martin will join Rankin and others who have taken 2 teams to state titles.

Really??? Coach Martin is well respected, but it's going to be more than 2-3 years. Also, i would worry about Coach Martin still being there in 2 years. Rumor is he is being targeted to return to the private ranks to take over the Lipscomb job after this year. Don't shoot the messenger, just passing along what has been said.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
