It looks like Silverdale finally has a team capable of beating Boyd. They better win this year because Boyd will be tough the next two years.

8. Silverdale (9-0, 2-0 District 5-A)

Like Hixson, Silverdale is a single win away from perfection. Unlike the Wildcats, though, the Seahawks have dominated. They haven’t even been tested since their 24-21 win over Sweetwater on Sept. 27, outscoring their last three opponents (CCS, Grace and Bledsoe County) 125-20. District 5-A rival Boyd-Buchanan is the only team standing in Silverdale’s way. A win over the Seahawks, though improbable, would most likely make the Buccaneers’ disappointing season sting a little less.

This week: @ Boyd-Buchanan
