Does he block for himself ? he does not go anywhere without his o-line blocking for him . im not saying that this young man is not a good player but he must have help if he is gonna gain any yards . well im gonna say what everybody else says "That was Preseason" LOL!

If you have watched any of ethan's runs you will see initial contact does not bring him down even from the biggest of players. It takes 3 people to bring him down and he only gets stonger as the game game goes on. His 30th carry is stonger than his 1st. Elizabethton's line is nowhere near as big as it has been in the past but these kids are physical and will not back down from anyone. The line has driven every d-line they have faced off the line of scrimmage. Elizabethton also has to fullbacks that they use regularly that i would bet would start for any team around here.

You must have not been at that preseason scrimmage because Greeneville scored at will against Tennessee High and their only success against the ghs D was through the air. Does etown throw the ball a lot?

No i was not at the scrimmage i am just going off of what i have been told many different times. Elizabehton is not a deep threat by any means but they will kill you with sort underneath routes and play action. They will eventually dial one deep usually to marcus olds who is a great wide receiver with speed.

Getting ready to leave from Avery Co.Hope to see a good game.Watched Besty play at Asheville one year and didn't think they would have a chance. It ended up being a really good game.Greeneville better not look ahead. If Thomas wants to be one of the best RBs in the state he better play with a chip on his shoulders tonight.Don't care who wins so good luck to both teams and a injury free game.

How does Betsy match up with Greeneville's speed?

betsy doesnt have the speed their accustomed to, but strength makes up for it. Corners have good speed safety depending on if bailey plays or not they will have good secondary speed. Elizabethton has good speed at receiver but they do not look to beat anyone deep. All 3 running backs are fast especially sophmore jeremiah turner who is small and finds the smallest of holes. Bailey can run out of the qb spot a lot of read option. Be epecting a healthy dose of #28 though.

So the question was how will they match up? "Good speed"? Those corners are gonna have to be better than good. Same in the secondary.

What our secondary lacks in skill they make up for it in experience all of our secondary is returning starters they have all seen good passing teams. Coach ogg is one of the best defensive coaches around and he can read an offense better than anyone he will have a game plan to stop the pass and make greeneville run. South was suppose to be a great passing team and they accomplished that in the first half, but after ogg read the deffense they couldnt throw in the second half. Yes greeneville has more ahletes and speed on the field, but elizabehton will be more physical in the front 7 hen greeneville and greeneville's qb will feel the pressure all night.

    • To be fair to the head coach, he may have submitted his roster of players to the AD and the AD with the help of a counselor checks the academic status of each player then submits to the TSSAA.  Some coaches do not submit eligibility status on the TSSAA portal
    • Has does the AD still have a job at the school. Someone had to submit eligibility rosters to the TSSAA before the season starts.  That’s usually submitted by the AD along with head coach.  Someone submitted the ineligible student and was listed as eligible.  That will come out soon as it can be checked on the TSSAA portal who submitted the eligibility status of all players.
    • Your lucky, my head hit my desk….. desk is fine.
    • This is my ranking, not computer generated. I factored in how poorly that region competed in postseason play…which is why Loretto and LC didn’t make the cut. Loretto is probably 11 though.
    • They are absolutely loaded! If you look at their season schedule I don’t think an Instate team has beat them! They have many D1 commits! With the best Coach in the state I don’t see anyone stopping them for a 3-peat!!!
