I understand Cleveland's been irrelevant since the late 90's, but you'd think they could manage to out travel a 1-9 rhea co team featuring a coach who body slams players?

u sound like the old guy whom never played football in his life and/or no athletic ability and gets on here and bash other teams kids and schools. Your talking like your the one putting the pads on friday night. Your the only sour apple on this entire tread. How about letting the kids on the field settle it.

All this finesse offense, traveling fans, coach bashing, who beat who has been so much fun to read lol. Fact is - This is two good ball teams with a historic rivalry between the two. Yes Cleveland has playmakers. Always have. But so does Rhea County. Going to be a ballgame until the end.

I like your positive attitude sir.....but you are no PA as others suggest....I have no ill will for anyone....I can....but choose not to....makes life better...not bitter....

What exactly has Pemberton ever done? He won a state title at Catholic, a game they should have lost cause Micthell stopped running the ball when they where hammering them. Had a 1st round draft pick while at Catholic and could only get to the quarterfinals at best with him. Went to GA for a year he couldn't cut it and left for Macon Co who is usually pretty bad. Was a 5-5 coach there! Then left for Crawfords old job stayed 10 months nobody liked him cause well he is not a great people person went to the quarterfinals with a SR heavy group and Crawford's players...got drilled by Mt. Juliet and Roger Perry. So he pretty much got run out of town Rhea opened up he had success as an OC their and came back. My question is how much did y'all pay him? Macon gave him a house, car, and payed him about 90 grand from all the big money boosters (farmers). I would much rather have Crawford any day as a coach than Pemberton. And Crawford's state title came with public school kids not a private who says they do not recruit.

MY BUDDY DOUG is a defensive guru......he left his stamp on that team...period.....boys to men.....belief......then came a new coach....a new district....are you kidding me??? #DREAMJOB

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
