Both teams made a lot of mistakes. A lot of cramping up in second half. The refs were horrible both ways the whole game. #2 did a good job for the Canes but sure would have like to seen this one finish with #10 in there. Both teams have a lot to look forward to. Good luck to the Eagles the rest of the way.

That was ugly.  Nobody hurt too bad I don't think.  Your QB got folded up pretty good, though.  Hope he's okay.

Can't turn the ball over that much.  Signal was lucky.  With 9 total turnovers in a game, it then all comes down to luck.  Who turns the ball over when and points off turnovers.  Can't leave the outcome of a game to luck. Can't wait to see the stats on this one.

Don't know why we didn't send a LB more often.  It worked when we did, and it worked for Central.

Shoutout to #6 Hensley on a number of outstanding plays in the secondary.  Overall, except for the turnovers (and that is correctable) thought the Eagles looked pretty darned good.

Good luck to the Canes from here on out.

Great job Signal!  The guys that ran the most all summer and didn't cramp up won.  Thinking Menzel and Moon might be able to hang with the soccer guys.  We're playing two 80 minute select soccer games at 11:00 and 1:50 tomorrow and 2 more Sunday in brutal heat.  Granted no helmets and pads, but also no huddles and time-outs!  Not belittling football players, but 102.3 kept talking about how hot it was and players dropping like flies!  Get them in shape!

Even my Eagles were cramping.  Not used to seeing that.

Both teams (and the ref's :roflolk: ) need to do a better job of pushing fluids.  You shouldn't wait until the player asks for fluid.  You squirt it into there mouths every chance you get.  I heard Bledsoe had a 30 minute delay for a heat index that was too high.

It's tough starting the season this early.

Given your extensive coverage of football and the apparent breadth of your expertise, I am inclined to seek your esteemed opinion on the matter: who, in your estimation, emerges as the favored candidate? Furthermore, since the mantle of head coach has been vacated, upon whom would you bestow the mantle of leadership?
    • Shoulders dad graduated for TC, and Kyle began his coaching career early on at TC although he wasn't there long. Shoulders would be a homerun, but don't see him leaving Macon anytime soon.

    • Perhaps it is within the realm of possibility that the comprehension of my discourse, both by yourself and others, may be circumscribed by the boundaries of intellectual acumen. Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
