Lol... MP's roller coaster ride continues from last year. One week they play like they could and should and next week they play like a JV team needing to get the basics down.... They still might yet win a couple....Who really knows? Not I. Crying shame to have that much talent on the field that can't function right at times....

If a team has a line? MP is done for sad to say.... There used to be a big blocking dummy sled called 'Big Bertha' that the O line to had to line up against to work as a team on blocking skills... It needs to be dusted off. MP O-line needs work. 2 games now Defenses have rushed the backfield leaving no time for plays to develop and MP's backfield struggling to get yards. O-line needs to block and pick up blocks before offense can do anything. CA had an outside DT coming in almost all night unblocked and O-line folded under pressure 70-75% of the night allowing defenders through.

.cant wait to see yall next Friday night!!!

Don't see us until Oct. 24th....

Next week MP is at BGA.... Oh yaaay... Happy Times for sure. (Not)

CA wins District 11 tonight and Congrats to them for a well played game.

As for Ole Region 6 ? Wayne Co. is gonna have to do better than 27 points against a down CWood to beat CA for Region.

CA is a solid team. MP made them look better tonight for sure. But make no mistake about it. CA is WC's biggest threat to Region. Better get that WC offense clicking and scoring at least 35 or better.

JMO....

When does WC and CA play?

27 ain't bad when you give up 0. WC could have put up a couple of more but put the younger players in.

Good point but CA never let up and subbed no one.... They are going to be used to 4 qtrs. And from what I seen in the 4th? They still looked some what fresh.

WC will have something for them this year that can't be coached and that's toughness, they better be getting ready for four quarters because WC is still mad about last year!

More than likely be like last year's game (a close one). I don't see a blowout either way..... Good luck next week. WC should beat Moore Co.

    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
