Footballforlife, why on God's green earth would you make a player that is out hurt be at practice? If a kid isn't at practice, how do you know he isn't getting treatment? Who wasn't at practice this week?

You guys are full of excuses. I know for a fact he just don't show for practice very much. Nothing to do with injury was happening before injury too.

I didn't see a lot of holding last night. But the men in motion was obvious. Can't blame the refs for it all though. We couldn't control the edge and with Milan that's a must. Keep him between the tackles and they helped him off the field numerous times

Yeah your boys are just mean and tough as nails I don't see how Milan survived it. He was real lucky I guess.

Dude give it a rest. The best 11 must be in the field. Trust me if someone was better than him he would not be on the field. He adds another dimension to this SC team that they have not had in years. If little Johnny is not getting to play...cheer on the team or call coach D and set up meeting to go talk to him. If you are not man enough to do that take your kid and change your allegiances and transfer.

Same thing was happening at the UHS game. I guess smith county likes to play refball instead of football

Well.......there you have it. A York fan and a Baxter fan agreeing that SC plays "refball".

No way SC could beat perennial powers like York and Baxter without the refs help.

Because or all that motion, York couldn't manage over 7 points before the 2nd,3rd and 4th team were in. I guess G-ville took SCs playbook and started using motion in the 2nd half last night against Baxter.

You know what? Maybe it was the SAME refs for both games.

Heck yea. BAXTER and YORK lose, SC wins. I kinda like "refball". I'm gonna talk to coach D. He must be stupid. We shoulda used refball against Cookeville and Alcoa.

If you read my post I said you can't blame refs. And you are correct our second team did score twice. First team drove the ball all night then would shoot them selves in the foot. Gonna be a learning experience for this yr (totally) new coaching staff and new system. Last but not least win with some dignity I know that's hard for some of you.

SC led 35-7 before subs took over. Do you really think a little motion (which I didn't see) was a factor?

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
