Mayhem in Memphis 2014

All,

We are happy to invite you down to Memphis, TN for our 7th annual Mayhem in Memphis tournament on Saturday November 8th.

Last year we had just shy of 300 wrestlers from the following states represented: Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas.   Each year we have been lucky to see the number of high-level (national place winning) wrestlers continue to increase... we expect the same again this year.

We plan to continue our tradition of running a strong tournament that flows smoothly and offers competition for wrestlers of every level.  The brackets will be split into  beginner and advanced groups where numbers allow.  This allows your newer wrestlers to get quality mat time at the right level and your more experienced wrestlers to get mat time against other quality competition.  This tournament provides a great warm-up for the upper-level wrestlers headed to the Tulsa Kick-Off the next week.

All registration will be handled via TrackWrestling. Full details are in the flyer text included below.

Don't hesitate to call or write with any questions.

We look forward to seeing you on the mat soon.

    • Players and parents and coaches and administrators love uncertainty and vagueness. Hard to believe they could make the situation worse, but it seems they managed to do exactly that. So as you said we either have a one time transfer (wink, wink) or there's about to be a ton of teed off players and parents and coaches and administrators.
    • Quite a bit of Porter was involved with this post. Will be following for the big champion announcements.
    • They are going to have to learn to score to win it. They may well do it but there problem has been scoring consistently. Glass House causes that to happen to most teams.
    • We will see. I can't ever remember a year when it was this wide open. I am always a Gibson County homer but I love the makeup of our team this year. Got four guards and 3 of them have been point guards. We will play fast and aggressive on both ends and if we handle the ball like I think we will we will be very competitive to the buzzer sounds. Got two really good post players. There is no dominant team. Huntingdon will be a handful and a team I wouldn't want to have to play in a do or die game. Loretto is going to be balanced as well. York, Westview, Gatlinburg Pittman, Union City, Summertown, Smith County will be in the mix. Memphis Business Academy might the the best team in the state talent wise. Decatur County, JCM, Liberty and Adamsville's District will be tough as well. Very balanced AA and I may have missed some but it is wide open.
