Offensive line mainly. I think we should switch up a bit there.o line has been the weak link for this team for the last 2 years. You improve that line and clean up the mistakes on both sides of the ball and SC is a goat ally different team. I have some ideas, but the minute i mention them ill start getting bashed by the coaches pals that are on here. You know how that goes.

The O-Line has been switched around more than a jig saw puzzle this year already. I didn't know there was a combination they haven't tried. Edited by bigreid

In your opinion, why is the O-Line the weak link? Not enough talent on the line or not coached up to potential?

talent/grit/determination/dedication, i have the utmost confidence in our coaches ability. I do have a few ideas that may or may not help. I'll keep those to myself. The line is definately the weak link. Our qb is running for his life most of the night. Run blocking is sub-par. No line+silly mistakes= not a good year. Like you keep sayin. Players gotta play.

Improve line play and clean up mistakes on both sides of the ball would make every team in the state a totally dofferent team

O-Line didn't give up a 17-3 lead single handedly vs WC. O-Line got a running back running free in the secondary at CC that resulted in a TD for CC. The O-Line didn't fumble the lone running play called to end either half at MC. The O-Line hasn't dropped a pass all year.

You just lookin to argue or what? I know plenty of other mistakes have been made. Having a better o line would help this team right now more than anything. (as well as any other team) but ours is really behind. There was no running play called at the end of 2nd half at mc, 4 straight passes, all of which our qb was scrambling for his life. I got nothing else to say about it.

There was one at the end of the 1st half and it was fumbled. Blaming line play is, has, will always be a ready made excuse for a football team not being successful. That excuse is tolerable at the first of the year, not so much at the last in my opinion. They've had all year and still can't get them to block. Blame Game!!

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
