Watched GP the other night in basketball for the first time this season.  Apparently all isn't dead at GP in regards to getting athletes.  The new player they got this season in basketball is a "STUD" and here they are getting some in football also.  Heard several JPII kids are coming.

2 thoughts -so what if kids are coming over,  JPII was terrible, PS good hire.

Are kids really transferring to an 0-10 program at the penalty of losing a year of eligibility, doubtful.

I'm assuming that you had a kid at GP who graduated in 2014? If not, then please excuse this. It is a well known fact that the GP class of 2014 was one of, if not the best class of both male and female athletes this school has had for some time. Add to this is the fact that GP dropped down to 2a in 2014 in football and 1a in all other sports. Correct me if I am wrong, but all GP has to show for this is 1 title in VB. Baseball and basketball had very good runs and were barely defeated in state. Other than this the rest of the sports were disasters. Softball had a terrible year not even getting out of district. I saved the best for last, football. No offense to TC, Grace, other teams, but this team was LOADED with senior FB talent and I'm not just referring to number 29. They were preseason ranked 1. Sure the HC was responsible and now he is gone. In addition, one assistant left in 2014. However, my understanding is that every other coach and admin who was directly or indirectly responsible is still on campus. Everyone who was involved in this mockery should be held accountable, if not, then hiring JP2s head coach is not going to chage much much less getting more stud athletes in the door.

    • Great to meet you too.  We're going to work hard to get back.
    • I extend my gratitude to ManCoverage for initiating this discussion thread tailored to the residents of Trousdale County. In times of adversity within our football team, it is imperative to have an outlet for expression, and what better platform than CoachT's Craigslist forum? I respectfully request that GOAT exercise discretion in his commentary, as his remarks have caused me personal distress.
    • I am inclined to wager a substantial portion of my financial assets on the likelihood that Waggoner shall transition to an alternative coaching vocation prior to the year 2028. It is my contention that discerning individuals are beginning to perceive his coaching prowess as lacking in the requisite excellence. Allow me to articulate the following assertion: Waggoner represents a markedly superior choice compared to the individual who perpetrated the act of fuel theft.   This individual exhibits a conspicuous propensity for frequent professional transitions, a trait which undermines his credibility and renders him an untenable choice for serious consideration. It is indeed confounding that his candidacy continues to garner attention and support.
    • Yeah same   It’s definitely true that tough times make tough kids, but some kids just have a big passion for the game and will become the best of the best no matter where they come from.
    • Hope you enjoy it King and good to meet you at state this year. Good luck to the Lady Landers. Keep battling.
