Scrimmages at East Ridge

11 teams participated (ER,McCallie, Baylor, Lookout Valley, Red Bank, Boyd-Buchanan, Walker Valley, Tyner, Howard, CSAS, Grace) Games were not indicative of teams true talent due to the fact that many did not have their football players in action and some of the better players like Ben Britt, Sky Conley and Jonathan Adams did not participate. A quick run down: Howard, McCallie and Tyner looked good. Howard was very small but can score quickly. McCallie shot the ball very well and Tyner is fairly big but also really athletic (10 deep). Baylor was big but was missing 4 players, Lookout is athletic but suspect with perimeter shooting. Walker Valley played without their post so they were more perimeter oriented. Boyd was ok, but struggled against bigger teams. ER relies on full-ct play and the three. CSAS will need to find more scoring outside of Conley (CSAS really tough defensively). Grace was solid but goes with maybe 6 players. Don't have any scores at this time.

I play basketball for boyd and am a starter at the moment, but will change after the football players get back and McCallie was very very solid. They hit shots and didn't miss much. Baylor beat us, but was still a little shaky for who they will be playing. Red Bank didn't have Ben Britt or Kel Harvey so I couldn't tell much about their team except without those two they will definatly have problems.

boyd is a very good team. what you might have forgot is that boyd still has key players out. yall played boyd when they had probably 2 or 3 people who could even score points. when eveyone comes back boyd will be a brand new team. with 5 starters who can average at least 15 points a night that not counting the people on the bench
