Fury-Parrott 16U is looking to possibly add one player to our 2015 Summer roster. We are looking for a middle infielder/utility player with a "big bat". One that could pitch a few innings on occasion would also be a plus, but not a must. We would consider '98 or '99 players ('16,'17 or '18 grads). Must be "team" players and have "team" parents.

About our team:

We are part of the Fury Fastpitch Organization, out of Chattanooga, TN. Our organization has won two National Championships and many of our players have went on to play college ball. Our team has finished in the Top 20 at ASA Nationals the past three years (9th last year). We have already qualified for this year's 16U "A" ASA Nationals. Therefore, most of our Summer will be spent playing college showcases. We will be in the Colorado Independence ( Longmont, CO), the Scenic City (Chattanooga, TN), the 5 Star Exposure (Birmingham, AL), plus a couple more showcases. We will finish up with the ASA Nationals (Chattanooga).

If you are interested in a tryout or have any questions, please contact Jody Parrott ( 423-667-0950, jparrott7113@comcast.net ) or Ronnie Bowling ( 865-389-6575, ronniebowling@tds.net  ). We would like to get this done in the next few weeks, before they start playing high school ball. You can also visit our team website at www.tnfury99.com. Thank you!

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
