I predict Grainger will win. OK so I predict after the game. haha. Was a good game. Tough pitching and too many errors from Greeneville. I think Greeneville can win 2 tomorrow.  I think Bowman pitches the first game and then the team pitches game 2, maybe Idell. I think Greeneville will out hit them. Should be a good day to be at the ballpark.

Umpiring was a little flaky last night. I seen no reason to eject the Grainger player on minimal contact. Umpire took a kid out of post season for two or three games in conflict with the rule.

I hope Bowman pitches the first game. He, in my opinion, is the best option to have a game 2. The bats need to show up for sure. Someone will have to be the sparkplug and get hot quickly to set the tempo.

The play at the plate probably didn't deserve being tossed. It did deserve the out, but ejection, probably not. He took a hard swat at the mitt and made moderate contact. Could have gone either way I guess.

The errors have to be fixed for sure. No reason this team makes that many. Can't win a championship with errors. Could be the key to tonight.

Great games last night.  Gville won both.  Game one - Jordan Idell (frosh) pitched a complete game victory.  Devils won 7-2.  Cabbage took the loss for Grainger

Game two went to 9 innings before the Devils broke a 2-2 game open.  Final was 5-2. Bowman threw a complete game and was named tourney MVP.  Bates took the loss in relief.

Both teams made some big plays and some big mistakes.  Only two earned runs in the second game.

Devils took the long way, having to play six games to win the championship.  Greeneville used just 4 pitchers.  Idell threw complete games in 1 & 5.  Bowman threw complete games in 2 & 6, Hartness (Soph) threw a complete game in game #3 and Collins (Soph) threw a complete game in #4.

This team is very young but they grew up this week.  Box scores for the brac tourney can be found here

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
