travis tate is not the best player in the district...i wish people that get on here would not single one person out and act as if they are the TEAM it takes more then one person to make a team and im sure leffew, ledbetter, and stephens will manage just fine....

I wasn't saying he made the entire team. I know they will do fine without him because they have 3 good role players but he is still the best player on the team. All I was saying was he was the most valuable player to his team in the district. So if you don't feel he is the M.V.P who do you think is?

all im saying is you shouldnt get on here and act as if the dragons are going to go to heck cause tate is hurt..yeah he is a good player....i wouldnt say the best tho....and when the other teammates get on here and read this....its not going to make them feel any better him be referred to as the best player on the team.....im sure they work just as hard as he does...but just arent regonized as much...i agree tho..travis tate is VERY good , he has alot of talent...but so does leffew, ledbetter, and stephens....and prob alot of the other players on that team have talent as well......but just try not to single one good player out of a team of good players........ know what i mean?

I have had the chance to play against Travis in middle school and in high school. He is a all around player. I have played against a lot of good players but I would put Travis on the top of my "best players" list. It's a shame to here the bad news. The rest of York's players will have to step up.

Get well Travis #21

when will he back? what is his target date?

it is a shame for york, he is the best player in the district. he has the best shot, decent passer, great cocky player attitude. he knows he is good. i agree, big loss!!

an ankle injury will be tough to recover from this year, i don't see a 4 to 6 weeks, more like 7 to 9 weeks.

    • What has this guy done to you that is so bad? I have spoken to him at one of the games this past year and he was very nice. I am not sure on his ability to coach.
    • I didn't make it up, I was told that by another coach.   I was just passing along what I was told.  Keep your shirt on there tough guy.
    • I see them and Oakdale struggling quite a bit the next few years. I see OS to be the powerhouse of the area for awhile. It all depends on how much Coalfield can recruit.
    • How did the scrimmage with Central go?
    • I’ve said it all year coalfield isn’t the same team as the last couple years. They have 3 really good players and another pitcher that throws low to mid 80s. Other than that, everybody else is average at best. You could make the argument that their lineup was the worst out of the 4 teams in their region tournament. Oakdale is really hot right now and playing well. Greenback was the second best team there. Wartburg was hitting it well but limped into the tournament with their center fielder being hurt and their best pitcher not being able to go on the mound for them was killer.
