turnover margin is key to success in this game as looks to be a closer one than in recent years.   I know its early in the season but the score of this game and the BGA-USJ score will be the 2 puzzle pieces to let you know how all teams in this division stand for the playoffs.

If BGA doesn't play better then that have, they'll lose tonight.  Hopefully the week off gave them time to work out their problems.

FCA comes with talent and experience. Webb has talent and youth. What are the keys to victory for both teams? Discuss.

FC doesn't have as much experience as you might think.  They do play several upper classmen, but, several are first year starters.  Also, the Commanders start several sophomores and a couple of freshmen on both sides of the ball.  Obviously, Webb lost a lot of talent, but they have a great coaching staff and some very quality players back, which equates to a solid team that will only get better as the season progresses.  Tonight is a very interesting matchup because FC has not kept the game close the last two seasons with the Spartans and are hoping for a better showing.  I believe that Division II A is about as level as it has been the last three seasons and depending on who shows up to play will determine the victor.  Safe travels to the Commanders and lets hope for a injury free game for once.

What about Lausanne? They blasted Germantown, beat St. George's by a couple TD's...

wasn't leaving Lausanne or anyone out of the discussion, I was just commenting on the scores of 2 games to help solve the puzzle.  1) how good is Webb and FC and 2) USJ-BGA score will be the first East-West score for measuring stick.

And right on queue Lausanne takes their first loss of the season! DII-A West 2 is a toss-up. Harding Academy, Northpoint and Lausanne are all dangerous. Wouldn't want to bet against ECS either after they got their first win of the season over Father Ryan last night. Either way, a good team from that region is going to be at home come playoff time.

BGA vs USJ was a good game, though sloppy with some iffy calls (probably for and against both teams). BGA's QB is the real deal and made plays all over the field. Plus, he has some big, fast receivers to throw the ball to. USJ whipped BGA in the trenches in the first half. BGA made good adjustments at halftime to shore up that front line for the second half. USJ wore out by the fourth quarter. Credit BGA's depth and the fact that USJ starters hadn't played past halftime in three weeks. Wouldn't mind seeing a rematch of this game in the playoffs!

USJ was out coached all game......and if the USJ starters hadn't played past halftime before now, that's on their coaching staff for not scheduling opponets in the early season.  Funny how both FCA and now USJ think a rematch would generate a different result.

This is an obvious down year for Webb and BGA but the other teams just can't take advantage of it.

Possibly the saddest part of this contest is that Webb doesn't take the time before the game to pray as a community.  I've never been to a DII game that doesn't pray.  Just stunning for a private school that is allowed to pray to not to do so over the loud speaker.

Good win Webb, make sure you appreciate everything you have.

    • I extend my gratitude to ManCoverage for initiating this discussion thread tailored to the residents of Trousdale County. In times of adversity within our football team, it is imperative to have an outlet for expression, and what better platform than CoachT's Craigslist forum? I respectfully request that GOAT exercise discretion in his commentary, as his remarks have caused me personal distress.
    • I am inclined to wager a substantial portion of my financial assets on the likelihood that Waggoner shall transition to an alternative coaching vocation prior to the year 2028. It is my contention that discerning individuals are beginning to perceive his coaching prowess as lacking in the requisite excellence. Allow me to articulate the following assertion: Waggoner represents a markedly superior choice compared to the individual who perpetrated the act of fuel theft.   This individual exhibits a conspicuous propensity for frequent professional transitions, a trait which undermines his credibility and renders him an untenable choice for serious consideration. It is indeed confounding that his candidacy continues to garner attention and support.
    • Yeah same   It’s definitely true that tough times make tough kids, but some kids just have a big passion for the game and will become the best of the best no matter where they come from.
