The first East TN Volleyball Sectional will be held Saturday, October 3rd at Anderson County High School.  The following teams qualified from their Areas and will be participating in a double elimination tournament.  The results will be updated on Saturday as I have time.

 

Area 1

 

Ross Robinson Middle School

Greeneville Middle School

 

Area 2

 

Norris Middle School

Lake City Middle School

Robertsville (OR) Middle School

LaFollette Middle School

 

Area 3

 

Seymour Middle School

Pigeon Forge Middle School

Caton's Chapel Elementary

Pi Beta Phi Elementary

 

9:00 AM

 

Caton's Chapel v. Lake City

LaFollette v. Pigeon Forge

Norris v. Pi Beta Phi

 

10:15 AM

 

Robinson v. Robertsville

Seymour v. Winner CC/LC

Greeneville v. Winner LMS/PFMS

 

 

All matches will be played on the campus of Anderson County High School at the AC Main Gym or at Clinch River Community School.

UPDATE:

 

Congratulations to the Ross N. Robinson Middle School Lady Redskins on claiming the first ever East Tennessee Sectional Volleyball Tournament.  They are a great team and the honor was well deserved.

 

The top 3 are as follows:

 

Champions - Ross N. Robinson Middle

Runner Up - Norris Middle 

Third Place - Lake City Middle 

 

All Tournament Team

 

Bailey Wilder - Norris Middle

Hannah Freeman - Norris Middle

Callie Bowling - Norris Middle

Tea Hickson - Lake City

 

I will update the remaining players tomorrow.

      Depends on what Tyner team shows up. If the one that was down to sweetwater late in the 4th quarter shows up then the chargers win it in a walk. If the team that beat Marion shows up then it’s anyones game.

      AGAIN, people spouting off at the mouth& not a clue what they are talking about!! Investigate, do your homework, come check, it’s public record, check Alcoa & Maryville’s little leagues & middle schools, & as far as their passing game, QB, got to get it there first!! Hard to do running for his life!

      i am trying to be optimistic. i am much more sour on the Gordonsville loss than you are. you def had a glass half full approach. my glass was buried in 10 feet of tractor pull dirt

      3 REASONS MARION WINS: - Yes, we have injuries, as we have been informed 5,000,000,000x - If we were gonna win it would've been 2 years ago when we were whipping them badly and still found a way to lose.  - The kids that are not injured are not playing well nor being coached well, and we've lost 2 of 3 to teams much less talented than Marion's losses. Much more decisively also. WHH scored at will and Gordonsville just kept reloading even though they had as many or more starters out than we did.  Bonus reason: The one kid who has camo'ed it all this season, (i.e., the fact that we are about- not exactly, but mostly-  the same as last year, unless we gave him the ball and he bailed us out, just like he did for 2 years in middle school), as far as I know, will not be playing.
