Sycamore has the best defense we played all year IMO.. So hats off to them.. We are losing a lot of seniors... But not quite 10/11 starting... More like 6/11 or so... We have quite a few juniors that play over half the game now... Sophomore reviewers that will step up next year... It will definitely be a "rebuild year" but not a complete replacement team.. Yes CPA controlled the ball 75% of the time in the first half... That was the first big passing team heritage has seen.. Our defense has improved tremendously.. The only way teams have been able to score is one or two missed tackles per game that lead to a 40+yd TD... CPA did the same thing the first half. I believe if we can stop their star receiver #9... And keep an eye on the QB... We will take the W..also our pass offense has gotten a lot better. Different plays more receivers..it will be a close game for sure.

Newblue, nice shot at Sycamore. Ironic you would pull a classless move like that while talking about the class of Camden. Anyways, Don't book that trip to next years playoffs just yet, if I'm not mistaken 10 of your 11 starters were seniors. See what that means is they won't be able to play next year. Also make sure you enjoy the class of CPA when they end your season next week. Can't wait to read all week how you ALMOST beat them last time when in reality they controlled that game the first half then took their foot off the gas. Wouldn't expect that mistake again.

Congrats to all other WHH fans, I just can't stand someone taking shots at good hardworking kids and people from the security of a keyboard, it's kind of pathetic.

Honestly I didn't see a problem with the Sycamore kids or fans. They just like Heritage were reacting to the refs who lost control of the game. As far as the 10 starters leaving Heritage. Actually on Defense you have 8 seniors and two Juniors. You have Rippy at Corner and Jones at Linebacker. two Juniors also started on the line last night as well, Connor and Tony. Next year Heritage will have Jones who has started at Backer since a Freshman. They have some other kids to chose from to fill in those spots that won't miss a beat. Ripp had also been a starter since his sophomore season and played some his Fresman season. Again they have plenty of support for next year. On the line Hudson will be Center,he would of started this year but got hurt, he is bout 370 lbs. Big Mike who also started his sophomore year and went out to injury will be a Tackle at about 6'6 280 the other tackle will be Tony T who stated last night bout 6'2 350 Guards will be Connor who started last night who is 6'1 260. The other guard will prob be Dominick who is bout 6'2 270. With these coaches and the guts these kids have. Don't bet on its gonna be a rebuild year. They are big and athletic, they will be fine. The CPA game... I was there, CPA did not let off the gas. Heritage just learned they were good and shut them down. Camden was a very classy bunch of people. It was a very nice game. Good luck Heritage I hope y'all beat the alphabet team.

Abernathy for Camden has progressed this year to a Stud at QB.He has size and skills of a Division 1 recruit. When you have a running back like Deshawn in the Backfield his numbers go down.Camden struggled early with a mostly run offense,The kid has stepped up and changed the offense to guess what we do and hope you don't get burned offense.

    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
    • Hopefully you’re not signing off for good. There are a lot of Oak Ridge fans that appreciate your comments.
    • Florida tried urban/rural split two years ago. 4 urban classes, 4 rural classes. Didn’t work. Next year they will have 7 regular classes, 1 urban class for small schools only.
