Congrats to Coach Ben and what the Bead Nation has done to rise back to the top including that big Baylor Win. Whens the last year BC has beaten both teams the same year?

We might or should win state this year. Think it's been a while when we beat both in the same year. We have a better shot at winning individual state this year than team state. Think the boys was trying a little too hard last night and not wrestling like they should. State should be interesting for sure

Clearly Ryan is off to their best start mid way through the season perhaps better than any Simpson team in many years... Maintaining, Not Peaking is all they need to do to take that prized dual championship. In my not so humble opinion ;)

As for the Bear (not Bead,,, thx droid) Nation, not sure who will uphend them in either tournament in 2016. A little reminiscent of the ol Logsdon days with Al Morris Sr's Reload Machine sending up future State champs' fiercely challenged every few weeks with varsity wrestle offs.... and often decided by 1-2 pts, OT's, if the kid even won.

I can only imagine what that BC practice room is like today.

Beech sure looked good the other day, well conditioned after the break vs Stewart's Creek, but WC may be somewhat close with SC in upcoming matches battling for 2-3-4 finishes.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
