Muscle shores max prep site has several clips posted... They did look like they were a big team!

The word I got was that Clarksville was clearly outclassed. Couldn't get a 1st down, so maintaining a successful drive was out of the question. The score was 52-0 and I stopped talking to him at that point. Clarksville only dressed 37 players where Muscle Shoals had a 100. maybe it's just me but I don't see any benefit in taking a pounding like that. Spring should be about seeing what works and who can do what. It was hard for them to tell who could do what when they're blowing up your backfield. I think that was a bad decision on the HC's part to make that fruitless trip.

I have not received any feedback yet.

I know they were expecting to play a team that looked more like a Junior College than a High school.

Did they get a big payday from this? What were they trying to accomplish? This is not a bash; I really want to know.

I agree. What's there to prove by driving 3 hours to take a beat down by clearly a dominant program. Once again my question is why does this 5A school only have 37 players? Are there 40 Baseball and Soccer players who weren't there? Doesn't really make a lot of sense.

Thread is kind of quiet. What's shaking in this region? Will it be dominated by Henry County and Centennial again, or will Brentwood shake it up?

Rossview will be better this year. They won six games last year with this very young team. Hearing they have had a great off season in the weight room. QB position is still a question mark, but I know they have several athletes that are capable of running Lamberts style of offense. I predict this years team will surprise several and make the playoffs!

They're actually even younger this year. Only 5 or 6 Seniors on the team.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
