Station Camp by 10 or more.  Too many offensive weapons.  Hillsboro by 10.  Playing their best at the right time.

Bad coaching must be related to someone's kid not getting enough PT, I guess.    If someone has a legitimate reason why they call Troy a bad coach, I would be all ears.  You don't have to agree with

People that continue to bash Troy obviously give themselves way too much credit. How many other coaches at MJ have been to 3 sub-states and also done it back to back?The correct answer is none.  Previously had only been done once, and that team got beat by 30 as well against Pearl.  Talk about his methods all you want, but results don't lie. 

 

And also, how many other teams had success against Camp this year? One......

Camp is a tough match-up. Should it have been 20+ both games? probably not, but when Camp shoots it at 60+% in the District Championship and your two best shooters go 1-11 in the Region Championship, they are a tough beat

Nah, used to be a frequenter of CoachT, but moved away and got away from Tennessee High School sports.  No idea what my old password was, and the email account linked to the old one has been deleted.  Moved back to the area and have been following the boards for a bit w/o interacting.  Been following the Coach Allen bashing for a while and just had to put my 2 cents in.

If someone has a legitimate reason why they call Troy a bad coach, I would be all ears.  You don't have to agree with the way he does things, but to call him a bad coach is ignorant. Results speak volumes.

Mt. Juliet never tried to come back. Allen cannot win games from behind.

Yeah, Rossview had them down 14 in the first round of region and Springfield had them down 5 late in the 3rd.  Must have been a fluke that MJ ended up winning both of those since he never tries to win from behind.

I like your two cents. I agree Coach Allen is a great coach. Two back to back sub state games not many teams can say that.

 

Oh and if you make it to sub state it means you are in the final 16 teams left. I would say that is pretty good for Coach Allen being such a "bad coach"

I agree Allen is a good coach vs Station Camp. The Bison get an easy victory every time they play the Bears. Oh yeah, Station Camp and Massey has made it to back to back Sub State via two Region Championships vs Bears and Allen.

      Marion had no answer for groves last year and he’s added a lot of weight since last year already. And the other groves Marion couldn’t block…he’ll be back.

      Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.

      I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.

      Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
