pantherpride17
THIS GAME IS ALWAYS A KNOCK OUT DRAG OUT NO MATTER HOW GOOD EITHER TEAM IS. THIS GAME IS PROBABLY THE BIGGEST RIVAL GAME IN LEWIS OR HICKMAN COUNTY HISTORY. WITH THAT SAID I'M GOING TO SAY LEWIS COUNTY BY 2 TD'S. WHAT IS YALL'S PREDICTION. ddaddy
Just a bit of history; This will be the 76th meeting between these two teams with an average score of 18-12 in favor of LC. I don't believe that will be close to the score this week on either side. The first meeting of record was in 1921 and was won by HC 9-7. TheStuff
There is alot more on the line in this one than "The Jug". On Senior Night, a Lewis County win propels them into the playoffs as a likely #2 seed. A loss, the Panthers miss the playoffs entirely. The Panther offense has been back on track the last two weeks, and the defense looked strong against 4A Lawrence County last Friday night. This rivalry brings out the best in both teams, and it should be a great game at Panther Stadium. If the LC speed on defense continues to be a strength, LC should win by +2 TDs. Better have the speed on defense, the #1 receiver in terms of yards is coming to town.

TheStuff
Better have the speed on defense, the #1 receiver in terms of yards is coming to town. 2 catches for about 38 yards. Looks like the Panthers had enough speed and a great scheme. 2 times he was targeted in the end zone resulted in interceptions, his one long reception was on a tipped pass in coverage. Prior to that he had 1 catch for 3. Lewis County 43 Hickman County 7.

ddaddy
This historically has been a very physical game and tonight was no different. LC running game was too much for HC tonight. I was disappointed to see the cheap shots the 2nd half by SOME of the HC players. There were several unsportsmanlike penalties and an ejection. Paint it anyway you want but it is a direct reflection on the head coach. There are some good people at HC and their AD is 2nd to none so I am sure they will get it worked out. ht96
That's a cheap shot right there, buddy... The Head coach does not teach them to do things like that and just because they weren't called don't the LC didn't have a bunch of late hits. The Head coach does not teach them to do things like that and just because they weren't called don't the LC didn't have a bunch of late hits. The Coach doesn't teach it but he definitely has control over it. As the game got out of hand several HC players lost composure. Following the last interception, HC picked up 3 personal fouls and and unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on LCs scoring drive. That includes a blatant late hit on LCs big freshman lineman AFTER the touchdown, taking a big lineman's legs out is pretty cheap. There were multiple instances of HC players diving in well after the whistle. LC will be lucky if they didn't lose a player due to one of the late hits on the big lineman and a running back. I get it that players get frustrated and lose composure, but coaches do have control over who is on the field and what they allow.
