That would be a great accomplishment...they can thank whoever does their schedule for the help.. I already know of the argument about "you never know how good teams will be when you make the schedule". But, take in consideration when boasting your record. Lewis County's strength of schedule is ranked #98 in AA and they have played 1 ranked team in Tennessee and 4 with records over .500.....Pat Summit always played the toughest schedule she could to prepare her team. To each his own.... Goid luck with the record.

Have a decent chance at winning out with the remaining schedule:

vs. Hickman County (3-20)(1-11) Lewis County beat 61-25 in December in Centerville

Hickman County is not very good, this game should be much like the first.

vs. Summertown (16-6)(5-1) Lewis County beat 58-51 in November in Summertown

This is probably the most difficult game left on the schedule. Summertown missed A TON of free throws in the first meeting, and will be on a 4 game win streak when they come to Hohenwald. This game will be, and always is, a heated game.

@ East Hickman (15-9)(9-3) Lewis County beat 49-39 early in January in Hohenwald

Can't assume this game will be a win. East Hickman beat CreekWood a week after Creek Wood handed Lewis County their first loss in the district. This game is also at East Hickman, where a good Lewis County team lost last year.

vs. Fairview (3-16)(2-8) have not played

Record speaks volumes. They have split with Hickman County and Montgomery Central, and lost over half of their district games by more than 14 points.

@ Fairview (3-16)(2-8) game postponed in early January due to weather

Lewis County does not look like the same team they were when the ran off 9 straight wins to start the season. I have seen all 23 games plus scrimmages and camps, and they do not play the same way they did early. I hope they didn't peak too soon, because they have alot of potential.

Will say that we have the best play by play person on the radio have had to miss some games bec of my mom he makes you feel like you are sitting on the front row at the game when you listen to him very good. Thank you JF

Thanks for the kind words selectedgrain.

This weeks 2 games will be tough hurdles to clear en route to the most wins in school history. Summertown is always a tough rivalry game, even when records are not great. Add in each teams records, the fact that they have both been ranked in the AP Top 10 at some point, and other, more personal issues for each team, this game could be extremely heated. East Hickman has become a bigger rival within 11AA, and they have a 3-3 record v. Lewis County over the last 3 seasons. They also handled CreekWood at home Thursday night.

Chasing school records is one thing, the real goal is to get through region. 27 wins and a trip to the "Glass House" mark the high win total and furthest into the postseason in school history ('09-'10), a season that was followed by a 26 win season and a 1 point short of returning to the 'Boro ('10-'11).
