The State Individual Wrestling Tournament for DII is going to be as close as the State Duals. Any of the 5 teams (MBA, Father Ryan, Baylor, McCallie, and Christian Brothers) can win this tournament. It is that close. Bonus points earned throughout the tournament could very well determine who wins this tournament.

Looking forward to a great State Individual Wrestling Tournament.

Hold your breath.

My question is how will they divide the Regions when most all of DII schools from DI come over. It will be top heavy at the Middle and East Tennessee Region. Maybe some will have to move to the West Region because most of the schools will be Middle and East Tennessee.

Hard to determine who will win until we see where everybody goes at the Regions and how they do at the Regions. Movement of wrestlers will occur from the State Dual and could change the make-up of who wins weight classes as well as the team title.

    • I have no clue if Derek tried to talk some since into his dad or not about staying here. All he is going to accomplish is going from the oven to the frying pan. If I were the coach all Ale would freze over before I set back and watched one of my good players leave without a fight.
    • If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.
    • Dorian Eskridge was HVA's best back, 2011
    • Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro
    • I'm not sure you understand anything if you think DB's career and AD's career are comparable.  This is a terrible take.   Not to slight AD, He was a good player and he got better as he matured after high school.   But Desean had over 8,000 yards in HS and was a two-time Mr. Football.
