41-42 Tullahoma wins the pot.

Really great game, one of the best coffee pots games in my memory, mistakes and not tackling properly on the Raiders cost the games, some poor coaching also by the red raiders but the kids in both teams played their hearts out

I watched this game twice on you tube and I don't see where there were poor coaching issues. What I saw was poor covverage deep on a play or two. Some tackling issues and a team that just out hustled the other enough to get the win. It was a good game and we are looking forward to hosting the Red Raiders this week in the Boro.

You seen exactly what I seen, but here in Manchester it's always someone else to blame!! He did get on the coaches show Saturday morning and take full blame, which is what any good head coach would do! Maybe could've not kicked to the Burks boys every time, but the kicker may not have been able to kick it anywhere else comfortably, who knows. The missed tackles hurt bad, especially when it's the difference between a 10 yard loss and a 70 yard gain. I hate to miss this Fridays matchup, hopefully someone will stream it on youtube(i'll be out of town).

Yes, I heard the Coach tell Denis that he took blame on not repping enough for a particular coverage, and that is what a great coach does.  He could have gone on air and said..." well this kid here missed a block, this other kid here didn't cover the reciever very well or bit off on the run and cost us the game " Now not only is he a jerk if he did do that, but he has thrown a 17-18 year old kid under the bus in front of the whole community. There is enough pressure to do well give these kids credit for going out and getting bruised up and banged up for the sheer sake to represent a community. For goodness sake the least everybody could do is let them know you appreciate the efforts.  Win or lose these are your hometown kids.

Up 7 and Taylor does not touch the ball for a whole series.  He was getting 9+ every time he touched the ball.  Give the man the ball and you win the game.

Taylor had 163 yards on the night rushing. Tullahoma was stacking the box and going to force the pass or beat Taylor up for 1-2 yards or negative runs in q4. The carries he got late in the game were short gains at that.So do you beat the player down where heh can't play for the next two weeks or dogive him some breaks .  The real issue is  that it is easy to say the coach shoulda coulda woulda 3 days after the game is over, but unless you 5-6 hours watching the one game that is on film for this season over and over  and are reading there defensive packags  and coverage it is hard to know what is going to work . I say by 3rd game in your coaches will know what they have to do to win some games and who is going to make the effort.  Coach Ski said on the radio show "Some players left it all out there on the field" It is easy to see which ones left it all out there" That in a very soft way says some did not. I have heard from both sides of the fence now that Some kids put out half the effort, because they know it is all going to be Alontae this and Alontae that. Kind of a dang if you do and dang if you don't situation.

He should have had 300 yards rushing.  Tullahoma played the same defense all night just changed from man coverage to zone coveragethe second half.  Taylorhad one short run all night when he fumbled. Give the man the ball in the 4th and you win.  By the way the sideline stopped Taylor more than any tackle from Tullahoma.

Unfortunately when you can't get North and south/upfield because you have no gap or lane and they run you out of bounds it stops the play. Taylor is a beast, but Tullahoma had their/ his number on the run (anytime they hold him to 150 -160 yards = successful night) and Coach Ski tried to soften the defense up by making them stop keying on Taylor .  If the only thing they had to do was key on him all night why not load 11 in the box and track  him. He would get nothing if that is " all " they do. You gotta mix it up.

Hadn't been on here in a while, so i'm just now seeing this. When I said what I said about Ski taking full blame and that being what any head good head coach would do, your reply hit the nail on the head. Rather than throw kids under the bus, man up and take the blame and he always does this. A lot of these folks that get on here and post probably don't listen to all the coaches shows and stuff like that to even have a clue! And I hope you weren't implying that last part to me! I support their efforts each and every week, watched the full game against Blackman on youtube since I was out of town (I hate missing games), I've been appreciating theirs efforts since I graduated in 98 and haven't missed but a handful of games since then! I wish more people would take what you said about "win or lose these are your hometown kids" to heart, would make a huge difference if they had full support. I know i've preached on that, but it's the truth.

Not pointing a finger at you at all. My disappointment is grown ups perpetuating this I am entitled, everybody get a trophy and a snack attitude. Support your kids and everybody elses for goodness sake. these will be people who lead your community years from now. If you can't be a leader how do you expect your kids to grow up and become one. ... CCRAIDER. I wish you fellas all the luck in the world and hope somebody will start manning up and tell people/fans  to grow up and act like an adult. These kids need your support not your sympathy. They will take prid in whatever you show them you are proud of

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
