We could see a 3-way tie for first or a 3-way tie for second. Just so you know, here is how each teams "Non Region" opponents look: Blackman- 3 of the 4 already meet the "50% of their games requirement" Stewarts Creek with a win over Lavergne (likely) puts Blackman in good shape with all four non region opponents meeting that requirement. Cookeville- 2 of the 4 have met this requirement. Both Livingston Academy and Pearl Cohn are over 50% wins but Upperman would have to beat either Macon County or Sequatchie County to qualify so they likely only will have 2 non-region qualifers. Oakland - 1 of the 4 have met this requirement that being Maryville. Independence would have to beat Memphis East (likely) or Ravenwood to reach the 50% requirement. Riverdale - 1 of the 4 have met this requirement that being Spring HIll. They would need East Nashville to beat Pearl Cohn or Clarksville NE (not likely) to qualify. They would need Centennial to beat Summit and Brentwood (highly unlikely). Expected finish for the second tie breaker: Blackman- 4 non region qualifiers (winning 50% or more of their games) Cookeville - 2 non region qualifiers (winning 50% or more of their games) Oakland - 2 non region qualifiers (winning 50% or more of their games) Riverdale - 1 non region qualifier (winning 50% or more of their games) This would end any tie-breaker situations because Blackman would win the 2nd place tie scenario with the above information. A tie for first between Cookeville, Oakland and Riverdale would end with Cookeville winning. Riverdale drops out based on the above information and if they were tied, that would mean Cookeville won the Heads up over Oakland. This should clear up any questions about possible ties in region 3. Pulling this one back forward for reference tonight... The Blackman/Riverdale game with decide 2nd place. A Blackman loss drops them to fourth. A Riverdale loss drops them to 3rd. Cookeville will be either 3rd or 4th depending on this result.
