Playing starters in blowouts

The problem is that when those good players are still on the court when there team is up by 30 or 40 point, opponents may get upset and try to hurt that player.  A player that has signed and has nothing to prove in a blow-out game should be on the bench cheering on those players that don't get much playing time.

Player development comes in practice...

I agree, player development comes with and in practice. So, you are saying that those girls who are sitting over there watching a 40 point blowout shouldn't have a chance to play because they aren't a regular rotation player? Lets keep in mind those are players that will be the starters next year and will be on the receiving end of those 40 point blowouts. Just asking.
