coalfield-north greene

Does anyone on here know what the technical was about at the end of the coalfield-north greene substate game?

Leading by one and inbounding the ball with 4 seconds left, why would coalfield do something to get T'd up?

It must have been something grievous to draw a technical that changed the outcome of the game.

With about 12 seconds left - NG was leading and a foul was called on a NG player. He says "I didn't touch him" to the ref - but not in a overly obnoxious way and he gets T'd up.  I thought it was a horrible Technical that was going to change the outcome of the game.  Coalfield got 4 FT's and took the lead.  With about 5 seconds left a ball goes out on a Coalfield player and he says something to a different referee and then he gets T'd up (I think the Ref called it to even it up) and then a T was called on Coalfield coach so NG got 4 FT's.  I don't think any of the T's should have been called.

Thanks greenecounty. Sounds like a pretty tough way to play out the end of a tight substate game.

Was a horrible ending to a really good basketball game. Both player technicals were ridiculous calls. I think the one on the Coalfield kid was a make up for the previous bad technical call on NG. The second one on Coalfield was for an assistant coach standing up trying to call timeout. The refs helped determine the outcome of the  ballgame and that could’ve been said by either coalfield or NG fans depending on who won. Props to the NG kid for knocking down some clutch FTs though.
