I'm interested to hear about both teams too. I'm an Oneida fan and a Scott alumni which they play Northview in their district now.

My 1st cousin's son plays and she said it was either a tie or close to a tie.

I saw a few plays posted on MaxP but  it may be some 1st and 2nd team mixed, not really much to go by.

Crow, Spike or someone from Northview get in here and give us some info! ;) lol

Ogre I haven't heard much bout them this year! I'll keep my ears open. I did hear that the Northview scrimmage was decent and they won but don't know any details.

I saw a several minutes of the scrimmage on the net but the site's videos for NV have been taken down since. It's a hard to to tell if it was all starters in each play. Oneida had 1 long passing TD. They stopped the run decently looking to have a sizable DL. The returning QB, FB and RBs  and OL look good imo. The only thing I noticed is they about gave up a 30 yard TD but the Indian's DB saved it with a obvious pass interference. NV ran on the some in the vids then other times got held at the line of scrimmage. NV had success in short passes, but their QB looks to be a good runner/decent passer which can open things up.

I still think OHS will have to open the offense up, it has to happen imho. The pass TD they had looked to be a play action but with a broken NV assignment. I just hope they do not go one dimensionall running it 80-90% of the time unless they are able to to purely get it done that way.

The schedule looks favorable. Rockwood & Coalfield lost a  some really good Seniors but always come to play. The question would be opponent wise what does York, Bledsoe and Meigs have this year.(?) I think they will have a winning season the BIG question is again is can they pass and defend the pass against teams they may meet in the 2nd possibly 3rd round of the playoffs.

Oneida is always hard-nosed and Lambert is a GREAT coach. Heard rumors you Indian fellas were experimenting with a new offense. Sort of a wing t hybrid out of the shotgun ???

Interesting if true. Maybe we'll get to see some in fall practice scrims. The offense has been very predictable as someone said Coalfield was calling the play during 2017's game. They need something to spark the O in Oneida!

I believe if Oneida can find an identity on offense this year they could be tough.

Been told it's a spread very very similar to what Sevier County runs. I haven't seen it for myself, but I reckon it's true.

I agree. They go to Cookeville to scrimmage a couple teams this comin Friday. Then the next Friday Stone Memorial is comin to the Reservation for a scrimmage. We should see and know what the O will look like real soon.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
