The rising 13U Old Hickory Generals will be holding tryouts at Station Camp High School on Wednesday, July 25th and Monday, July 30th from 6:00-8:00 with sign-ups beginning at 5:30.  The Generals are looking for players, as well as families, that want to be part of a program that focuses on player development and building character for the future of these young men.  Players can expect a motivational, positive atmosphere from a coaching staff that  has a strong focus on fundamentals in all aspects of the game.  "Team Before Self" will be an ideology stressed and focused on for the 13U Generals.  We will be playing top competition locally and regionally.  Fall season will consist of 2-3 tournaments and the spring season will be a full season.  

All players planning on attending, please email oldhickorygenerals@yahoo.com with the following information:

 

1)  Player name

2) Birth date

3) Positions, Bats L or R

4) Parent names

5) Contact info: phone and email

      TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.

      stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
