45-17 Camden..they scored both tds on our third and second string but Stewart County  are definitely a better football team than they showed tonight especially on offense.

We played our best game tonight and it showed. a Few costly fumbles on kickoffs for them to start the second half really took the wind out of them.  If the game vs fairview  is in Stewart or if Fairview doesn't come ready to play they will give em a game for sure.

Beagle: I hate my Irish couldn’t pull it out tonight... I’m a Beagle fan.

I will show ya how fast the game turned around..14-3 Camden at the half and we had a  couple of stops on 4th in the first half inside the 15. So it could have been  closer or even could have been trailing at half .

Camden got the second half kick and drove for a score 2 point good ...SC fumbled the kickoff  we scored on the next play 2 point good they fumbled the kick again we scored in 2 plays 2 point again  running clock with almost 10 minutes left in the third they fumbled the third kick and we score in 3 plays.

I really thought ya'll would get them.  Good luck the rest of the year and maybe you can catch them in the playoffs....they tend to lay down once basketball season gets close :P

Did Dover even practice for this game or were they getting ready for Erin?

Congrats to the Lions on getting it done. I'm sorry I picked you to lose!

Sounds like the Rebels had a  sure enough run of bad luck.

We were at the game last night.  It was highly competitive in the first half and it was a 14-3 game at halftime.  In the second half Camden scored 24 points before Stewart County was able to run their first offensive play of the half.  It was 38-3 almost within the blink of an eye.  It was just one of those nights where Camden played really well and capitalized on every mistake that Stewart County made as a football team.

Camden lost a similar game a few weeks earlier against Riverside where they marched it down the field and were at the one yard line about to score.  They fumbled and the Riverside DB returned the fumble 103 yards for a TD and the next thing you knew the momentum was gone for the remainder of the contest.

I feel the same. The SC team is a much better team than that score indicated

That's the thing about coaching high school football.  You never know what you're going to get from one week to the next.  I always get a kick out of those that compare scores and results because one week's circumstances don't guarantee squat for the weeks to follow.  When you are dealing with 15-18 year olds (especially nowadays in the social media age we live in) you just cannot project what's going to occur.

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
