OAK RIDGE GETS DEFENSIVE...Lady Wildcat Style

Tonight, the Oak Ridge Lady Wildcats gave up only SIX POINTS to Anderson County to break the old record of EIGHT POINTS to Knoxville Gibbs.

On Thursday, the Lady Cats allowed just TEN POINTS for the entire game. Only 16 points scored against Oak Ridge total in two back to back games.

Was Coach Paige Redmond happy?  A little bit. She mentioned too many missed lay ups and problems on defense. I LOVE the improvement Oak Ridge makes every game.

I watched this game on UTube and the Anderson County girls played really hard they just aren't very good. Oak Ridge didn't try to run the score up but just were so much better than The Lady Mavs. The  Karns  game wasn't wasn't any different. Coach Redman played everybody but. don't know what she's supposed to do. This is like the talk about Cleveland, don't like it but that's the way it is. Shorten the game, run the clock, shorter periods, everybody has to agree sometimes they don't.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
