Dresden hosts Gibson Co. Sep.9, (Homecoming)

Festivities start at 6:30. Homecoming is always exciting & a highlight of High School time. Get there early Lion Nation. Dresden is having quite a year.. can Gibson County throw a monkey wrench into what Lions are working on?? Don’t think so, but anything is always possible. Predict another running clock for our Lions this coming Friday at Homecoming. Mauling of opponents will continue!

Tick.. tick.. tick.. clock is running for Gibson County (which is where my dad’s ancestry/ family tree has loooong, big roots. Tiny, lil town called Brazil, a dot in the road between Eaton & Frog Jump- which used to have a nice horse/rodeo arena. Now it’s just a field, has an old BBQ pit there too. Ahhhh the memories of old timers!)

Gibson has 2 kids that are fast.  Had some big plays against obion.  But they couldnt stop anyone on defense.  Could be good for a quarter.  Lions 48 GC 14.  Homecoming is when the Dresden coaches wear their pretty dresses and square dance at halftime.  Get there early.... there should be a big crowd because coach harris is known as happy feet

Square dance city in Dresden, TN tonight... Coach Harris said he's bringing the energy and noise... Hodge will be in the background doing the worm (just because he can). It's time. Go Lions!

Time to line ‘em up and let ‘er rip! Gonna be another ho-down at hog-town. Our hungry Lions gonna feast again, will be good for our future as well because the non-starters should be playing some downs during what should be another running clock in the 2nd half. As long as nobody from either team gets injured all will be well, with it being extra-good for the home team.

Pioneers getting embarrassed. Lions shutting them down, and we scouting at will. 3 possessions, 3 scores.. 20-0 in first. We scoring about as fast as I can type.

Now 28-0.. we have them pinned on 2 yd line after our kick. Dude..this is fun being a Lion.  We are either playing awfully bad teams, or we’re just that good once again.

Wow.. our special teams are at another level. ANOTHER TD after receiving a kick (3 so far), 35-0 still in first.

Mainly bad teams right now. McKenzie will be the measuring stick.

35-0 end of first. On opening play off 2nd we got a pick 6.. but phantom penalty on Lions.. keeping score down I guess. Our ball on 40.

We had a 4th & 2, went for it, ran it down to 15, called back for a penalty, now it’s 4th and a ton.. still went for it.. FIRST DOWN!
