An important Region 6 game this Friday the 16th.. Lions travel a few miles down the road to Bulldog country. Historically, no matter the records or standings, Gleason seems to step it up a notch against their next-door neighbors. Lions have had to pull out some miraculous plays to beat them.. epic games indeed. Lots of respect for Gleason, them Bulldogs live up to their mascot’s name & reputation.. tenacious, fighters, won’t back down. But the Lions will also live up to their mascot’s moniker too this Friday.. king of the jungle. Methinks another huge score by halftime, and another running clock in 2nd half with our non-starters getting oodles of playing time again. IF there even is a second half. If Lions are up a trillion to zilch a few minutes into 2nd quarter, why risk injuries? Or  maybe play on & let non-starters finish it out. We’ll see. I predict this game there’ll be no underdog miracles by Gleason though.. the Lions are too deep with talent, speed, strength, & experience. Bunches & bunches for Lions with another goose egg for Bulldogs. Our Lion Nation will probably bring more loud & proud fans to Gleason as well.. outnumbering the home team by alot in the stands. Our pride of Lions will do themselves & their fans proud once more this Friday.
GOOOO LIONS! #1 ALL THE WAY!

Gibson County was castrated last night.  Gibson County could beat Gleason.  This is one of those rare incidents (since Tennessee went to a classification by enrollment system) that the TSSAA should step in and not allow this game to be played.  A forced forfeit would be best for all involved.

The Bulldogs get transformed when they play Dresden. Super motivated to say the least. They have had us on the ropes quite a few times, playing well above everyone’s expectations. A forfeit is not in their genetics.. one game on a messy field with storms headed that way it was agreed upon to stop early lest anyone get hurt on that field. Was clear how the game was going to end. No doubt Gleason will pull out all the stops again, plus a little more. I’m always impressed at how tough they do play us. Rivalry on steroids. Bulldogs will be fighting for sure.. and our coach wont keep in the starters to run up a score.. he’ll play them First half no doubt, they need to play, right? Then reserves thereafter to get them experience too. Last two games we could have scored again at end of game, but he took the knees. Some of our fans were wanting more points and let their desires be known, but Hodge did right thing imo. And there’s always that possibility of the underdog winning.. it happens every week. Unexpected. Inexplicable. Miraculous. Thrilling. Which I always enjoy unless the underdogs are beating US! That’s always a bummer. But even then, that saying kicks in: I never lose. Either I win. Or I learn.. but never lose. .. Anything is possible, but probability is.. another big score for Lions by halftime and reserves playing 2nd half. Which they don’t back off at all either.. unless coach calls a halt to the mauling. We’ll all find out this Friday.. and that stadium will be packed for sure with fans watching to see if Gleason shocks the world! Or Lions do it again to another victim on their list.

Lol... You seem pretty good at trying to play these games up.  You, me and everyone else knows that this won't even be a game.

Hehe.. yes I do try play up the other side.. don’t want to give them any motivational material at all. Because it is a fact the underdog does beat the heavily favored team almost every week.. and those better teams who forget that get bettered in that game! May it never happen to Dresden again! (For it has happened more than once!)

Where’s the chatter? I guess it’s such a given that Lions will win that nobody is interested? Why bother? Geee whillakers I hope the fans don’t have that attitude and hardly anyone shows up at the game. .. Shoot man, no joke, Dawgs & Lions both know the history of these games, Gleason plays super tough against Dresden & in several games was winning down to the very last moment when somehow we pulled out a magical win. Lucky for us and more motivation for Gleason for sure. I have a soft spot for Bulldog (& Rebel) mascot schools, those were the mascots for the two HS’s my brothers & I attended in Memphis. I pull for these teams, except when playing Dresden of course. Then it’s SICK ‘EM LIONS. May the mauling commence.
