Covington - Union City Jamboree - August 11, 2023

Weather forecast looks OK for tonight’s Jamboree. I’m looking forward to a bunch of good football at Union City.  Covington fans usually travel well, so I expect a good crowd tonight.

At last week’s home scrimmage vs. Huntingdon, I estimated that we had about 200 Charger fans plus probably 75 or 80 on the visitor’s side. I think people are ready for some high school football.

I missed seeing the middle school game. Someone said Crestview won.

JV game just finished. Covington won 16-0.

Props to UC varsity. They win 10-0.

They played an error-free game while Covington lost two fumbles and had 5 or 6 significant penalties.

Great game and much respect to the Chargers. Y’all will go deep this year keep heads up. I knew it would be a battle.
