This was an excellent game. I'm not 100% sure about the score, but I think it was 54-47 Harding. It was something like that. I thought Houston County played much better than their 1-3 records and if they continue to put out that kind of effort, they will definitely win some games. I was especially impressed with HC #12 and #20. Harding jumped out to a slight lead early in the game, but saw it slip into as much as a 10 point deficeit. Houston County lead at the half and all of the third quarter. But Harding didn't give it up, and reclaimed the lead with about 7 minutes left in the game, and held onto it the rest of the night. Following a 30 point performance against Jackson Christian, John Bradford got in foul trouble early and finished with only 5 points. Trey Williams, however, played almost the entire game and totaled 28 points for Harding. Justin Jenkins did great on the boards and played very smart. Harding improved to 5-0, and Houston County dropped to 1-3. This Harding victory was especially meaningful for Lions head coach and athletic director Pete Froedden, who graduated from Houston County. Harding's next game will be at home against Haywood County on Tuesday, Dec. 10, and then they will host Bishop Byrne on Friday.

GO LIONS!!!

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
