Monterey @ Westmoreland

Monterey travels to Westmoreland for some Region play.  Looks like these two teams haven’t faced off with each other since 1974 if my research is right.  What is everyone’s thoughts on this one?

Likely battle for 3rd place in Region. Like the Eagles at home by couple of scores.

If Monterey plays like.tbey did against ER it will be a good game.but if we play like we did against clay it will be a long road home for the wildcats

I think this game could be a really physical game.  I’m not familiar with this Monterey team but I have seen some physical teams in the past.  Westmoreland has always took pride in being physical so I’m expecting a good hard hitting game.

Talking to a couple of the ER kids this Monterey team is the best team they have played this year, and said they were very physical... I don't think they score more than twice on Westy so if we can keep the offense rolling I think Eagles take this one!

After watching a little film I don't see a reason why we would even run the ball. The pass coverage was horrendous against Clay...

They have 0 pass game to go along with their shotty pass D, I would load the box 7-8 deep every play and force them to throw!

I agree. I'd like to watch the ER vs Monterey game and see what East struggled with so much.

Monterey up 28 to 14 . 4th Quarter just started. To this point they are the more physical team. Several explosive plays by #8 and #10 on the ground.
