if you were at the game or are a part of the program(and you are not)....you would know that owls started the game without starting QB and starting Recver(#9 smallen is a starter recr)He had to play QB for Ooltewah),so now your minus 2 starting recvrs anda QB.,then the historically great mcminn county refs showed wHy the are the greatest refs in state. They ejected 3 owl players on a fight started by mcminn,(cherokees players threw punches.)NOT ONE Mcminn player was ejected.Owls were then hit with a 45 yd set of penalties. and the flags kept coming. And as far the supposed 70 yd TD by cherokee freshman, give me a break....he was not a freshman and he scored on a SWEEP on a ALL FRESHMEN OOLTEWAH DEFENSE(THATS A FACT!!),So the pathetic headcoach from mcminn isnt trying to run the clock out he's trying to run the score up on game that was over at halftime.not taking a knee or running up the middle etc....but running sweeps on a freshman team. as far as the owls coach being fired etc....really?? come on ooltewah was going down hill talent wise when coach mac was there last year he was there, next coach(coach Chandler) made a impossible 2 year schedule with no talent coming up thru the middle schoools freshmen etc...they hired a known quitter in coach williams, hired coach Manning a WEEK before season started. the ooltewah admin. hasnt be supporting athletics there in almost a decade. You cant win a kentucky derby with donkeys. with that being said. The players ooltweah have are hard working kids, but they play boths ways in 5A football, because they have NO DEPTH!!! for record Ooltewah was a doormat for 40plus years...until EVERYBODY and their brother moved there in early 2000s...if you have a school enrollment of over 2000 kids every year with talent everywhere ..you win alot.Ooltweah DOMINATED this area with TALENT and depth inalmost every sport football,baseball,basketball,wrestling.,.with ONE school in the area..............................east hamm took alot of talent with rezoning etc. coach Manning is working his tail off(along with his coaches). manning doesnt play the entitlment card,PERIOD.He benched 8-9 players for the entire game against soddy 2 years during thanksgiving break, because they did not show up for practice, but thought they could show and play on friday night(all starters). He has been dealt a bad hand, but he works tiredleslsy from 7am until 8-9-10pm,to build a long lasting commitment of excellence and pride in school work and raising alot of young kids, who do not have a home life etc. give him the tools and will contuine to build a  football program.Hopefully with the new growth in the county, parents will choose a public school over private.but if not it is what it is folks.

Ahh here it comes the excuses every single time. Mr never had an account.  The refs weren't great this game. But Owls were playing super chippy their selves.  A mcminn player was ejected , as was the ooletwah players that were pushing  and shoving . Flags were flying all night for noth sides, its just more evident for ooltewah  is extremely undiscplined, they are the only team ive ever  seen take off running before the kicker even kicked the ball. No punchs were thrown And that dude that ran the 76 yard run Was a freshmen trust me I know his parents. We had freshmen in after the score was 36-0 in the 2nd quarter. You're about 100% wrong on everything you've said about the game, because for some reason as an adult that is not apart of the game your embarrassed. A bunch of our younger guys got reps and scored 21 points. That's how you offense was able to score that 7 points,  they had a running clock  and 4th string dude that hardly ever plays running back score on that 9 yard run for the final touchdown so they weren't trying to run up the score it looks like ooltewah just straight up quit playing in the 4th quarter.  What a sore loser, it's funny when these accounts suddenly pop up outta no where  when a team loses never fails. Don't remember ooltewah ever dominating in basketball.  They literally  ran it up the middle on the 76 yard run what are the freshmen supposed to do  just let themselves get tackled so you can try to score to keep it more respectable looking for your taste what a joke. Go ahead and post another speal  and cry about it.

Just curious, were these players missing when you played Central? Central is atrocious minus FJ!

Also, is tiredleslsy a real word?

There qb was out, but I'm not sure why, I was surprised to  see mcminn throw a couple of passes. 9/10 they are Just gonna run the wing t runs. They  had like 2 or 3 players thrown for being chippy, and then mcminn had a player of their own ejected as well. Just made it all the worse for them but the game was basically out of Hand by time that happened

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
