CPW is about winning, getting the best players and bulldozing others.   Sounds like there is some jilted lover syndrome here.  It's a whole new ballgame in Tennessee, and you better have dudes that can compete.

People spend their money however they choose, but if you want to play with the big dogs, you have to go get talent.  Otherwise you are wasting everyone's time.   JMO, I expect BA to be extremely competitive this year.

Agree 100 percent that this is the attitude.  However, the question is would BA allow a QB to transfer in knowing the QB's dad has bankrolled the team?  I am saying they would not bc if they did the bankroll would end causing a huge mess for the kids already there.  They are getting depth and competition at every position but QB.    The issue is the school has given power to this Dad whether anyone wants to admit it or not.  So it's ok if there is a decent BA wr to have to compete with a kid transferring in but not the QB?  If a 2027 QB transfers in I will eat my words

I’d trust the guy who has championship pedigree and built championship rosters since the 90s.

no the QB is not leaving, his dad is the one paying these families to come to Nashville.
Yes bowman should be in Chattanooga, but doubt it happens because of 💵💵
Chattanooga schools not giving cash, apartments or cars to come play football, ba will.
they will give you a dorm though

This the biggest lie ever, those Chatt schools paid for their teams for the past 5 years maybe 6. BA is only doing it because everybody else is

BA probably bought they teams too, no doubt about it. D2 is just a huge bidding war for who can buy the best/most athletes before the other school can.

so comparing dorms to paying players are the same?

chattanooga schools have dorms. so they get kids, give financial aid. all legal as far as I know.

nashville schools, give apartments, pay for apartments and give financial aid. all legal

so much more goes for the apartments and housing.  ask lipscomb?

the rules state, you can transfer in and without dorms, your whole family has to move if you have a high school athletic record.

1000% BA was illegal last year with the kid from Knox. he moved from knoxville to play with qb. his sister and parent stayed in Nashville and his other parent moved to nashville. they left and went back at christmas. that by rule alone is illegal.

everone likes to talk bout nil and you can do this and that. you still have to play by the rules written.

parents shopped the big DT around to most all privates and BA was highest bidder. his grades would not of got him in to half of the privates in TN, but he got in BA.

Spot on!  Embarrassing the school is allowing it.  Coach has sold his soul.  What happens if the QB is not getting it done or more likely a better QB wants to move in?  Guessing the school won't accept a QB transfer but they will at every other position.  So his son does not have to compete with transfers from all over the state but everyone else does.   I am guessing this does not end well.  But perhaps it does end in a purchased gold ball... time will tell.

been in coacht retirement since the gold balls have been given out…….congrats to every team…. happy offseason..you all really this upset??? sounds like to me this is a classic case of my son rode the bench and i didn’t write a check when i should have…. do yall not understand this has been going on for yearssssssss… cpw sold his soul???? embarrassing the school has allowed it to happen???? offseason blues really got yall going crazy…. classic case as it looks (mba parent) is upset that little johnny is going to be on another losing team on west end…. so his son doesn’t have to compete with transfers???? CNN type writing…. go enjoy the offseason and stop listening to all the other dads at the country club tee box…..

    • Thankfully,  No Madden in his resume!   Fortunately this new hire, Greg Vandagriff, is pure “gridiron” football!   Work, sweat, get better everyday, outsmart Goliath when you must, but work, work, work.  Wompuscat, we don’t know each other, yet  but I have a strong feeling you are going to really, really like this new coach.  He’s a guy’s  guy and will navigate the Lakeway organizational chart like a good running back would.  He’ll look for the holes,  but I have a feeling he will not hesitate to plow over the toughest defense to reach the goal line.    Lakeway’s program is still in its infancy.  The dismal win loss history is normal in the early years.  Fortunately the stars are now aligning in Lakeway’s favor.    Coach Vandagriff has written a book titled, “The Power of the Patch”.  It’s his life story of rising  above a troublesome childhood and  becoming the father and man he always wanted in his life, but never had.   He gives all credit to his faith in God (instilled by his grandmother).  He credits his high school football coach with molding his character and work ethic.  The book is now available on Amazon.      I’ve read the book.  It’s a tearjerker, if you are a sentimental grandma.  Lakeway has been blessed to begin a new football chapter with a head football coach whose goals are aligned with the school’s.
    • Kirby was the only one offered, nobody else had a chance to turn it down.
    • Didn’t say we would win, we aren’t scared of competition like a lot of teams out west…. We called a lot of the big bad teams in west tn and none of them wanted to play. We filled our week 2 game with JP2 anyways.
    • No one knows what the schedule will be.  To assume 45 would be foolish.  My wife and I have a few friends who work at the high school and up until Friday they said he was going to meetings throughout the week.  He immediately went back to Covington.  His wife never moved.  This isn’t complicated
    • It’s not wide open. Noah Watkins will walk through the bracket.
