I've talked to several people who have watched these battles for lots of years, fans of both schools. The opinion was the same. The 11 day layoff for LA and the narrow defeat 3 days ago at home for Jackson co against Cookeville, set the tone for this game. LA was flat, Beachboard tried to carry them in the first half, their shooting percentage was extreamly low. On the other side, Bowman couldn't miss a three in the first half. She put on a show and Apple seconded nearly every motion and it was carried unanimuosly.

How could LA be flat for Jackson County? I don't buy that one.

Livingston didn't play bad in the 1st half, it was just Jackson Co. was amazing. Jackson Co. didn't play the same in the second half. I can't see Livingston having a chance at Jackson Co. If Jackson Co. can play like they did in the first half, for 4 quarters here on out...hand them another gold ball.

Don't count either of these teams out because one or the other lost during the season. Jackson Co. deserves credit. They were ready. LA wasn't. Someone on here said La didn't play a bad first half. Wrong, although JC had a lot to do with how terrible Livingston performed in the first half. Jackson Co. was on fire. However, good shooters should score when no one guards them. It seemed as though Jackson Co. had no trouble getting someone open in the first half. That's a combination of good offense and poor defense. LA played a decent second half and outscored JC by 10. Brown didn't seem comfortable with a 25 point lead. That's wise. JC was ready, LA wasn't. Congrats to Jackson Co. Surely LA will be more prepared and ready the next time.
