Two q's:

What camps are ya'll going to and who all are going to be big names in the offensive line category this upcoming year?

Sometimes it seems like we linemen get lost on these boards and no I am not complaining because it makes me proud to see my boys in the backfields get their names up in lights. I was fortunate to be on a great o-line last year and would like to hear more from more of my "fat boys" from across the state.

Hey, i agree with you about the publicity. i started for oakland the past 2 years and i got like 3 interviews, and 2 pics in the paper. I didnt care though because our running back was gettin all kind of yards, so thats how i knew we were doin our job.

I think that a big name o-line man yall will hear about this comming up year is going to be chris smith at oakland. he has started the past 2 years, and will do so his senior year too. He is strong, fast, and big....all the things u need in a good lineman

Thanks for shotting me a holler. ie3 who are those two juniors you were talkin about. I know that I played some really good d-linemen and some of them were on my team. I guess if the boys in the backfield are happy you should be proud of yourself. Any camps this year boys? Sorry bout that didn't know I clicked it.

The two guys I was talking about are up in the North end of the county. Eric Collins and Paul Winstead really opened some holes for Ohrmsbee to pound thru. I was mistaken when I said Winstead was a Junior, he is actually a Senior, but it was the first year he had ever played football. Could have really made an impact with couple of more years.

You guys at Greeneville didn't leave a lot of room for others in the paper, you had a great year. I work with Cody and Thomas' parents, and I know they and all of Greeneville are proud of what you accomplished. Are you going to pursue playing further? I wish you luck, all of you deserve it.

Yes i hope to go on but that is all up to how hard I work and God. I really like smaller schools(d-2) but would jump on any chance to go bigger. I haven't talked to Eric Collins in a while I hope he's doing alright. I haven't heard a lot about good linemen but maybe I will here after spring gets going in a while.

Here are some camps in pretty close proximity to Tennessee that would be worth looking at. Middle Tennessee State University has a linemen camp posted at:

University of North Carolina has a linemen camp posted at:

University of Tennessee has a postion camp posted at:

Any of these camps would be worth looking into!

    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
