cyclonehomer
It appears Unicoi County is superior to Elizabethton in girls basketball this season. Look at the recent results: 1. Unicoi wins at Happy Valley by 16; Elizabethton loses by five 2. Unicoi wins at North by 26; Elizabethton wins at home by nine 3. Unicoi beats Volunteer by 29; Elizabethton wins by 12 4. Unicoi beats Johnson County by 50 at home; Elizabethton wins at Johnson County by five 5. Unicoi wins at Sullivan Central by 17; Elizabethton wins by two Comparative scores don't always tell the story, but it appears Unicoi has widened the gap since its 41-36 win over Elizabethton in December. osubrutus
That could be the most ridiculous comparison ever!!! Unicoi may be better but to compare scores....some teams just match-up better against others, some teams pull out of presses earlier than others, some teams sub quicker, etc... So score comparison (except for the head to head) should not even be a consideration. Of course, this is only MY opinion, it does not reflect the views of this board. cyclonehomer
Most ridiculous comparison ever????? What are you smoking?
osubrutus
I suppose since Miami, Fla beat Tennessee 26-3 and Ohio State beat Miami, Fla 31-24. Ohio State would beat Tennessee 57-27. So the answer is YES! A ridiculous comparison.

cyclonehomer
Uh.....duh... Ohio State WOULD beat Tennessee 57-27...how much more clear could that be? I never said Unicoi was better than Elizabethton. I never said Unicoi would beat Elizabethon by any certain margin. If you can read...which I wonder about...you can clearly see that I said IT APPEARS....now if you need a dictionary to know what APPEARS means......then by all means use one. jmourning
They are both very good. I saw them play in Elizabethton and it could have gone either way. Redd's little sister is quite good. I believe that Unicoi County is the deeper team, and would be the favorite but Elizabethton could pull the upset.
lillander
elizabethton would beat unicoi....we've played unicoi....elizabethton has it all the way
basketballfan42
If elizabethton would beat Unicoi, why didn't they do it the first time the two teams played. Unicoi will prove themselves again when the next meeting comes around on the 20th.
cyclonehomer
Bring it on. Challenge accepted, Unicoi. I will pass it on to the Elizabethton players, coaches and fans.
Guest HoopsterTN
I'd say it is a tossup.
WALKINGBEAR
Unicoi needs overtime to beat Hampton. Elizabethton beat Hampton bt 16. Appears that Elizabethton should win by 12.
