I can't believe that Red Boiling Springs didn't make it into the top 5 in single A. They beat Pickett County by 25 last Friday and that still wasn't enough to cut it. They may be really good teams but Adamsville has the same record as the Bulldogs (20-3), and Trenton Peabody is 18-6. Come on, cut us some slack.

Remember, for most folks that vote, there's regional bias...Peabody and Adamsville are out west.

 

Get on your local sports writer(s).

 

Also, the poll's are just for fans to have material to talk smack with. It's where you finish in March that matters.

Maybe Pickett Country is the only team that the Assoc. Press thought was a tough team. Cosby on the other habd is there. We have a tough schedule with the exception of 4 games. Gotta have strength of schedule. Better luck next time.

The AP voters usually vote for their local teams and there's no one except the Herald Citizen of Cookeville to vote for RBS sine it is so isolated. Plus, tradition is a big factor. RBS has a great team. Pickett played poorly, but that takes nothing away from RBS. Pickett beat a great Clinton Co team by 97-72 tonight and beat Sante Fe by quite a bit at Sante Fe...#1 Perry Co. only beat them by 4...yet Pickett dropped completely out of this week's poll. Don't worry Bulldog fans, you'll show your stuff in Murfreesboro! RBS should have been a top 5 team all year, no question. RBS is as good as Temple or Cosby and better than overrated Perry Co.

The fact that Westmoreland even received votes shows that the AP polls have no validity. They received 10 votes and they are only the fourth or fifth best team in their district.
