Rabbit, you are a real piece of work. You criticize Quinn's selection because he was taken down once and caught on his back for a brief instant. Yet, last year, a Soddy wrestler named Yost got OW over a 4 time State Champ and we never heard a peep from you. Besides the fact that Keller crushed him both times they wrestled, Yost spent some quality time on his back during last years tournament. But I guess we all have selective memory. You just choose to post every thought you have on a message board. A little advice though. Find a new subject for a while. We all get it. You're extremely fond of Kyle James. Can you find anything to post about that does not come back to him? Surely you can come up with something...anything!

You've posted that you respect Kyle's abilities because you wrestle with him. If you doubt Quinn Gibson, take a drive to Cleveland and check out his abilities. I think you'll be impressed...and a little quieter for a while.

i'll write all i want about kyle on this board. i never said gibson was'nt deservig or good enough to get OW. I think when 2 defending state champs meet in the finals after both of them killed everyone on their way to the finals should get OW. you got your toughts and i got mine. i did'nt even know about this message board until this year. if you ask me,keller deserved the OW every year he wrestled in the state. he is awsome. between him and kevin ward they are the best to come out of tennessee since i can remember, along with david vance. there i nothing i chose to talk about on this board, but kyle. i don't just like him because i wrestle with him. if you dont like what i write dont respond is the best thing i know to tell you.

kyle james for president!!lol

Gibson deserved it as much as Kyle did. What a lot of people fail to notice is that maybe Gibson is that much better than his competition, not that he doesn't have any. As far as I know Ward never got taken down his senior year(correct me if I am wrong), does that mean he didn't have any competition? Don't forget that this includes the tournament in Pennsylvania.

First of all I never claimed to be an awesome wrestler, and I never claimed I was gonna win state, and I never "dogged" our team. I merely said that Bosken has to be an awesome wrestler to beat Willie, cuase Willie is one of the best there is, and to beat you have to be good, and I thought that by pinning him he showed that he was very good, I was just stating my opinion, I wasn't dogging our team. I was just giving congrats to Bosken, cause he wrestled good at the tournment.

OK while were making cases for outstanding wrestlers why not Danny Coleman of Cleveland? Not that Quinn Gibson doesnt deserve it but Danny also pinned in the finals. Nobody could touch him and the kid's just a sophmore. Why not the two somewhat "dark horse" champions Evans and Bosken. Everybody knew they were good coming in but i dont think anybody expected them to win the whole thing. Bosken upset not one but 2 great wrestlers that many expected to be in the finals before the brackets came out and they couldnt. Then Kyle James appeared to have little trouble with a 2 time state champ. Daniel Crosby had a little trouble in the finals but hes won about 110 matches in a row...You could make a case for almost any of the champs because theyre all Outstanding Wrestlers.

    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
