D2 west region

Tonight's (2/25) Boys Rd 2 games have been moved to tomorrow (2/26). Tomorrow's Girls Semi-Finals have been moved to Thursday. Thursday's boys Semi-Finals have been moved to Friday.

All of those games will be played at the normal time.

Friday's 3rd place games will be played Saturday before Saturday's 1st place games. I'm guessing the times will be 3, 4:30, 6, and 7:30

All games will still be played at MUS

I'm coming in to Memphis this weekend...hopefully I will get to see some of the action on Friday.

I know the 1st 3 teams from D2 west go to sectionals, but if 3 teams went from east and middle, their would be 9 teams going to sectionals. If I am correct, only 8 teams go to sectionals. How many come from middle and east.

I called Mrs. Cancienne, and she said that tonight's games would be pushed back, but she wasn't sure what the ensuing schedule would be. So no games tonight.

Tonight's (Wed) D2 West Boys quarterfinal games have been cancelled due to ice.

A reschedule date has not been decided yet.

 

There is a possability that the boys quarterfinal games will be played on Thursday, the girls semi-finals Friday night, the boys semi-finals Saturday morning, and the 3rd and 1st place games Saturday night. Or, the girls could play their semi-finals Friday at Hutchison and the guys could play the quarter-finals on Thur. and and the semi-finals on Fri. at MUS. That has not been confirmed yet!

They have never had to postpone any regional games since the tournament has been at MUS that I am aware of. I think this helps the underdogs and hurts the favorites. The underdogs just get more time to prepare.

Just wondering, but couldn't they, if school is in tomorrow, hold boy's and girl's semi-finals on Friday night at MUS and run the quarter-finals schedule? Girls semi at 3 and 6, boys at 4:30 and 7:30. And if they can run tommorrow, they could play boys quarters on Friday, Have the semifinals on Sat. morning, one boys game at Hutch and one at MUS at the same time, and then one girls game at Hutch and one at MUS concurrently, and then consolations/Finals that night. Just thinking about possiblities.

Thanks mhabballfan. Nice work. The only downside to that (at least for MUS) is they won't get as much money with having to compact the tournament to fewer days. Thanks for updates. You are the man (or woman)...
