T-Town versus the F C Rebels

This for many years has been one of the top rivalries in the state. Who has the upper hand? Who has the best pitchers. Who has the best hitting team? How about coaches?

Tullahoma will have the upper hand this year with the strength of 9 sr.s and a solid pitching staff lead by RHP WK signee Griffin. SR. RHP Relford from Franklin Co. is a solid performer. Tullahoma's Sr. Rogers should contribute on the mound for Tullahoma and should be #2. Look for Miller, Hice, Smith, Morris & Blackman to be in the mix for Tullahoma also. Tullahoma will have the edge based on Griffin and solid backups. Franklin Co. has good team speed & will always come to play. I look for Summers & Crabtree to give FC a solid middle IF. Tullahoma's IF got a boost with FRA SS Blake Turner moved to town. Coach Hargrove now has Gray, Smith, Spence & Morris to go along with 2 yr 1b starter Chaney should be a solid group also. Franklin Co. always seems to put a solid OF together.Puryear LF has pop in his bat. Tulahoma has their starting OF back & solid backups but would consider avg. on defense. Vol St. signee C Blackman is a hardworker and one of the team leaders for Tullahoma. Bishop should catch for Franklin Co. is a good athlete but Blackman has the experience. Both coaches know the game and are with Pickle from Columbia the top coaches in the district.I give a slite edge to King just because he has won games in the district tournament.Maybe this will be Hargrove's year.
